Governor Reeves has issued a shelter-in-place order that will begin 5 p.m. Friday, April 3, and will last until 8 a.m. on April 20. Learn more from the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency here.

Only essential businesses and services will be open after 5 p.m., Friday, April 3. These businesses include grocery stores, hospitals/clinics, pharmacies, utilities, post offices, gas stations, first responders, financial institutions, child care services and restaurant offering take out or curbside pick-up. Some Coastal Mississippi attractions and venues are temporarily closing following CDC guidelines and in an abundance of caution. Desoto National Forrest - The USDA Forest Service today announced that Developed Recreation Areas on the National Forests in Mississippi have been temporarily closed for the health and safety of visitors and staff.
