Biloxi Cruise Company

*Gulf Coast Tour Package for $80 per person includes:

Biloxi Shrimping Trip "70-Minute Living Marine Adventure Cruise" – This unique and historical cruise will take you along the protected waters of the Gulf’s shoreline and show you all the creatures, including shrimp, which inhabit our coastal waters.

Lunch at Mary Mahoney's Old French House – The group will dine in the Historical and Legendary Mary Mahoney’s Old French House while Bobby Mahoney entertains guests with stories from “them good ole days” on the Gulf Coast (and a joke or two). Also, don’t forget to check out the Patriarch Oak Tree. This tree is believed to be over 2,000 years old!

Tour of the Maritime & Seafood Industry Museum – Experience an array of exhibits on shrimping, oystering, recreational fishing, wetlands, managing marine resources, charter boats, marine blacksmithing, wooden boat building, net making, Catboats/Biloxi skiff, shrimp peeling machine, and numerous historic photographs and objects.

Step-on Guided City Tour – 2-hour City of Biloxi Tour. See such sights as the Biloxi Lighthouse and the Biloxi Visitor’s Center Museum.

Ohr-O'Keefe Museum of Art

Tours last one hour but may be extended to include a group activity. Packages available:

Clay Pinch Pot- Turn a small ball of clay into a pinched bowl! Students will then paint their pots with ceramic slips and leave them in the studio to be clear glazed and fired. Suitable for all ages and experience levels. Time required: 30 minutes.

Slab Vases- Students will work with prepared slabs of clay and form vases that are about 8” in height.  Glazing can be done onsite or left for a studio artist to complete. Suitable for all ages and experience levels. Time required:  45 minutes- 1 hour.

Carved Tiles- Students will trace and carve a design into a   prepared porcelain tile approximately 6’ x 6”.  The result is a black and white tile that looks like a block print, suitable for display or framing.  Suitable for ages 15 and up and all experience levels. Time required: 1 hour.

Mardi Gras Masks- Students will trace mask templates onto  12”x5” slabs of clay that can be adorned with clay coils, beads and other handmade embellishments. An array of bright colors to paint with is provided. Suitable for ages 12 and up and all experience levels. Time required:  1 hour min , 2 hours max.

Mermaid Wind Chimes - Students will trace 7 patterns onto  a slab of clay and construct a mermaid. Suitable for ages 12 and up and all experience levels. Time required: 1½ hours.

Ceramic Magnolias - Make the beautiful Mississippi state flower! Students will cut patterns from prepared slabs of clay and be instructed on putting it together. Suitable for ages 12 and up and all experience levels. Time required: 1½ hours.

All work is fired in the OOMA studio and ready for pickup in two weeks.


Walter Anderson Museum of Art

Encounter the life and work of Walter Anderson through a guided tours of WAMA. Groups of all ages welcome from school children to seniors. WAMA can provide a customized, unique experience that includes the award-winning film The Islander, a book reading for young children, tour of the Community Center Murals, scavenger hunt, hands-on art activity, a viewing of our changing exhibitions, and the “Little Room” murals that were discovered after Walter Anderson’s death in 1965. Teachers receive a gift from the WAMA shop and a FREE one year membership for teachers when they accompany school field trips.

Vault Tours

  • Dependent upon availability, the curator will pull out a selection of five rarely seen pieces from the vault and provide an up-close viewing of the works! Please make requests at least 24 hours in advance. Ages 12 +.
  • Tours scheduled between 10am and 5pm.
  • The Walter Anderson Museum of Art is happy to provide an art activity for a hands-on learning experience for visitors of all ages.
  • Please provide one adult per 10 students under 18.
