The museum contains hundreds of one-of-a-kind artifacts of the historic Biloxi seafood industry. the preservation of these objects is one of the primary functions of the museum. The Maritime & Seafood Industry Museum is the only institution carrying out this mission on the Gulf of Mexico. We celebrated 300 years of history with a $2 million expansion and renovation completed in February of 2003. After Hurricane Katrina we underwent a spectacular $8 million dollar renovation in 2005.
