Jones Park is located on 60 acres at the very south end of Highway 49, the center of the City of Gulfport adjacent to the Mississippi State Port. Not only is this park/harbor facility a signature facility for the City of Gulfport but it is the “Front Yard for the State of Mississippi”.

Crossfit 228 presents this 2-day competition for both Rx and Scaled individual athletes AND Rx and Scaled 3-person, same sex teams. Everyone will compete both days!

Test your fitness over a total of 6 workouts in the best venue along the Gulf Coast and compete for over $10,000 in prize packages! The top 3 individuals and teams for BOTH Rx and Scaled divisions will receive prize packages.

Make a splash at the Inaugural Hancock Whitney Splash Bash benefiting Mississippi Aquarium. As the Mississippi Gulf Coast prepares for a world class aquatic attraction, surprises are in store for a night of music, food, cocktails and more! All proceeds will support bringing Mississippi Aquarium, a 501c3 Not for Profit, to life and will support our mission based on Education, Conservation and Community.

Event attire:

Leave tuxedos and gowns at home, opt for more casual attire in coastal tones. Women can consider pants, casual dresses, or skirts with colorful accessories; men, slacks with polo or button-up shirts. With September still among the warm months in South Mississippi, linen can also be appropriate for a cool, sophisticated look.

All weekend enjoy some the best live music and entertainers from national touring country bands to some of the most talented local and regional bands.
 
Oyster Fest is judged by three judges with the categories including best Oyster Rockefeller, Charbroiled and House Specialty. Winning Teams will receive Oyster Cook Off awards and $1,500 total cash.
 
This event will include the Rock N Roll Car, Jeep and Bike Show. Participating in car, jeep and bike enthusiasts from the country. Over 100 participants adds value entertainment the event.
 
The first ever Gulf Coast Oyster Shucking contest will take place Saturday, September 28th on the main stage at 7pm.
