The celebration of creativity spills into the streets for a family-friendly day of art, music, and local entrepreneurship. Local artists and creators showcase and sell along Washington Avenue, the public is invited to help decorate an oversized chalk block print in the street inspired by Walter Anderson’s groundbreaking 1940s designs. Featuring food trucks, musicians, and the unveiling of an exhibition of officially-licensed Walter Anderson block prints decorated by artists from across the region. Free museum admission all day; food and drink for purchase.
In the Museum and the adjacent WAMA Art Cottage, community organizations lead activities connecting visitors to the myriad ways that community, imagination, and discovery intersect with the environment.
*Community Center closed Saturday for a private event. Museum provides special hours on Sunday offering free admission to the public from noon - 5 PM.
