Start your weekend off with laughter when Emmy-nominated comedian and “Saturday Night Live” veteran Tracy Morgan brings his stand-up comedy set to Beau Rivage Theatre on Friday, May 5 at 8 p.m.
Morgan is one of the most well-respected comedians and actors in the entertainment industry. The comic rose to fame after joining the “Saturday Night Live” cast in 1996, creating memorable characters such as “Astronaut Jones” and “Brian Fellows.” After seven seasons, Morgan left “Saturday Night Live” to star in his own comedy series, “The Tracy Morgan Show.”
The industry veteran has starred in numerous television and film roles, most notably appearing on seven seasons of NBC’s Emmy- and Golden Globe Award-winning “30 Rock.” Morgan starred opposite Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin as the unpredictable star of Liz Lemon’s (Fey) hit variety show and received an Emmy nomination for his work on the show.
Morgan has headlined across the country and abroad on various stand-up comedy tours. His first stand-up special, “Black & Blue” debuted on HBO in 2010. He has since starred in “Tracy Morgan: Bona Fide” for Comedy Central in 2014 and “Staying Alive,” which released globally on Netflix in 2017.
