“T-Pots Too! Continued Explorations into a Versatile Form” with Jake Ollinger
This hands on workshop will begin with a slideshow of the artist’s past work to explain how he arrived at the forms and aesthetics that he currently employs. Jake will demonstrate and instruct students how build a full teapot set, and in so doing establish a unified aesthetic across numerous forms. Every piece in the set will be heavily modified on and off the wheel. Jake will teach a variety of unique altering techniques to really elaborate upon the volume and movement of each piece. He will also discuss his glazing techniques and how he plays with texture and color to further enhance the work.
