About

Join us to celebrate Andrew J. Switzer III and his art work hanging on the Greenhouse walls!

"Creative from the get go whether it was drawing, building things with whatever I could find, writing or music, the urge to make something from nothing was there as far back as I could remember. It was on a family trip when I was 6 that I saw graffiti for the first time and I was amazed. Everything from the design to the bold colors intrigued me. I started playing guitar when I was 13 and was still drawing. At 18 I broke or dislocated 9 bones in my left hand that took guitar playing off the table. I went to USM in Hattiesburg for drawing and painting with a minor in 3D design.

It wasn't until I moved to Wisconsin and started traveling through the midwestern cities that I figured out that I wanted to combine my love for graffiti, music, abstract art and portraits into one. Although I paint anything that comes to mind, this is the style I love and prefer to explore. I've always loved painting big so murals were the next step. I have murals across the coast in BSL, Gulfport and Biloxi. I do commissioned pieces in any style and my freelance work is typically centered around taking two or more things that don't typically belong together and making it into a mix of abstract portraiture, expressionism and surrealism. with this show at THE GREENHOUSE I am showing my most recent pieces in this style.

I love art, I love creating and I hope to hear from you. Please feel free to contact me about commissioning the perfect piece for your home, office or any other space that needs a one of a kind unique look."
