From Scratch Cooking, French Vegetarian Style

Join Mississippi food writer and photographer Julian Brunt and partner Kim Wilson as they welcome guest Dr. Marie Leonard. She is a French sociologist busy writing a book about social issues in modern France, but  is an avid cook and a vegetarian to boot. She is from Provence, perhaps the culinary epicenter if Europe and todays menu is all about some of her favorite foods from home. We start with a classic pairing of goat cheese, and a crusty baguette, it’s about as simple a pairing as you might imagine, but with Marie’s special touches, delicious. We move on to a classic ratatouille, made with garden fresh onions, peppers, zucchinis, and tomatoes. We will end with a classic French dessert, madeleines, a buttery sponge cake you will never forget.
