Confederate Flag Day

Beauvoir will celebrate its annual Confederate Flag Day, March 4, 2017.

March 4, 1861 marked when the First National Flag (Stars and Bars) was hoisted over the Confederate Capitol in Montgomery, Alabama. The Stars and Bars has and still flies over Beauvoir in recognition of the bill that was signed into law by Confederate President Jefferson Dais on March 4, 1865, creating the Third National Flag.
