At Black Excellence Gala, they will have a freedom brunch and present scholarships to young kids throughout the MS Gulf Coast. They also present two awards at this gala. The recipients are usually men or women who are honored for all they do for the African American Community throughout the year.
Last year the recipients were Angie Juzang and Jeffery Hulam.
