About
Work in clay using your own hands as tools! In this 8 week class, you will learn the basics of hand-building techniques such as pinching, coiling, and slab. Explore both functional forms and sculptural ideas while developing the necessary skills to complete your artwork. Students will have the opportunity to work with both cone 6 oxidation glazes and cone 10 reduction glazes, stains, and underglazes to bring their ideas to life.
Included in the eight week class:
- 25 lbs of clay
- Basic tool set
- Open studio during operating hours
- Studio cone 6 and cone 10 glazes
- Firing of work in one of the studio’s three kilns
