Are you interested in learning how to identify local bird species that you see or hear in your yard? This annual event engages bird watchers of all ages in counting birds to create a real-time snapshot of where the birds are across the continent. Everyone is encouraged to participate, from beginning bird watchers to experts. It takes as little as 15 minutes on one day, or you can count for as long as you like each day of the event. Come join the Pascagoula River Audubon Center for a free clinic to learn what species you can expect to see/hear in the Mississippi Coastal counties during February.
After the clinic, everyone will get to test out their new identification skills as they participate in the Great Backyard Bird Count at the Pascagoula River Audubon Center. It's free, fun, and easy as well as helping the birds. Pascagoula River Audubon can help with any questions you may have.
