Adventures in Watercolor

Ethotera Art Studio is proud to introduce a new visiting art instructor, Sherry Carlson. Sherry, a Gulport native, has worked in the printing and magazine industry and within corporate communications, while always including fine art, illustration, and classes into her daily life.

Sherry will be adding a new workshop to our services, Adventures in Watercolor! In this watercolor class, students will begin to see and capture their surroundings in a new way by intimately exploring light and texture on surfaces. They will translate their experience into loose gestural watercolors. Sherry likes to romanticize everyday life in an impressionistic style.

Class will be positive and encouraging -- a growth experience. From demonstrations to helpful technique tips, students are also encouraged to keep a sketchbook and challenge themselves at home. Works may be brought in for additional critique. Drawing skills are not required, but learning to draw will also improve your painting skills.
