Annual festival featuring fine arts, crafts, music, food and more this spring in a beautiful setting overlooking the sparkling waters of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. A hundred artists from 15 states will participate in the two-day juried festival that showcases works in a variety of media, including painting, sculpture, photography, printmaking, pottery, and more.
The Marine Cuisine Pavilion will promote the culinary arts with free cooking demonstrations by local and regional chefs using fresh Gulf seafood both days. Celebrate the Gulf Marine Education Festival will be held concurrently with Art in the Pass on Saturday from 10am–3pm. Visit more than 25 exhibits related to the wise use, preservation or conservation of our valuable aquatic and coastal resources. Children and adults alike will get to experience everything from crawling through the ever-popular "Turtle Hurdle" to visiting a special touch tank full of marine creatures, sponsored by the Institute for Marine Mammal Studies. Participants will also participate in many hands-on activities involving native plants, birds and marine life. War Memorial Park is located between Fleitas and Davis avenues on Scenic Drive in Pass Christian.
AAA Southern Traveler Travel Treasure Award
In 2015, Art in the Pass was selected as an official AAA Southern Traveler Travel Treasure by the AAA Association. AAA Southern Traveler magazine is read by more than 290,000 frequent travelers, and each bimonthly issue features a series of four to six unique Southern attractions.
