Working from home is the new normal for many of us. We’ve traded our office desks and watercooler chats for Zoom meetings from the kitchen table. And though this new work environment has its benefits, staying in one space day in and day out has delivered a big dose of quarantine fatigue.

Solution? A new, exciting workspace! Coastal Mississippi has 12 charming coastal communities spread across 62 miles of scenic shoreline – plenty of room to roam in between those virtual meetings. Easily accessible by car, you can enjoy the elements of The Secret Coast while increasing your work productivity and shedding your monotonous routine. You can work hard and play even harder, and no one needs to know that you are technically on vacation. We won’t tell if you won’t.

Before booking, we encourage you to check with individual businesses on any potential changes to their availability and/or hours, but rest assured Coastal Mississippi is working diligently with our partners to ensure your safety and health is the top priority. Where to Stay

Depending on your budget, Coastal Mississippi has a variety of accommodations to suit your needs. In addition to several corporate hotel chains located both on and off the beachfront, we have cozy cottages, bed & breakfast inns, boutique hotels, as well as multi-faceted resorts for your temporary home away from home. Whether you crave solitude, a room with a view, all-day pool access, or downtown proximity, each property will have its own set of amenities. Just be sure to confirm Wi-Fi availability before plugging in.

Where to Play

There is so much to see and do in Coastal Mississippi, with three coastal counties to explore. If outdoor excursions excite you, consider a ride on the Betsy Ann or Biloxi Shrimping Trip, both offering lessons in the history and seafood industry of the region. You can also charter a sunset cruise after a long day of virtual meetings or book a fishing trip Saturday morning after a week’s worth of deadlines. Or maybe exploring the area’s blueways by kayak is more your speed. The flora and fauna of the region are breathtaking to witness up close.

For a slower-paced indoor activity, the region’s art and cultural museums are a testament to the creative masterminds who have called the coast home. The works of Walter Anderson, Dusti Bonge, and George Ohr are all on display at their respective, eponymous museums. Or you can explore the area’s downtown shopping districts and find interesting antiques, one-of-kind pieces from local artisans, or the latest hip accessories.

You can always try your luck at one of the coast’s 12 casinos. All properties have adopted safety guidelines so you can gamble responsibly.

Where to Eat

Though fresh-caught seafood is a staple on every dinner table in Coastal Mississippi, our restaurant scene is inclusive of all cuisine. In addition to surf, we’ve got turf, BBQ, and international eats that will leave you wanting seconds. And because most restaurants are still offering take-out options, you can schedule for pick-up and enjoy your meals in your room right before (or even during!) a virtual meeting.
