Are you heading to the Mississippi Coast Coliseum Crawfish Music Festival? A five-day festival with more than a dozen acts can be a bit overwhelming. Don’t worry, we’ve listed everything you need to know beforehand to make sure you have an awesome time enjoying headline entertainment, hot boiled crawfish, and so much more at Coastal Mississippi’s premiere spring event!
No matter what kind of music you like, you are sure to hear some tunes you enjoy at the Crawfish Music Festival. If you don’t purchase reserved seating, make sure you arrive early to grab a standing room only spot to watch your favorite artists.
Bring your appetite:
If we could only give one piece of advice, it would be to come hungry! There will be a ton of great food options, but most importantly a ton of crawfish provided by Quality Poultry & Seafood. Hot boiled crawfish, crawfish pies, crawfish etouffee and more will be available in the food village.
Enter the Crawfish Cook-Off Contest! $50 covers the entrance fee and your first sack of crawfish. $3000 in cash will be awarded to the winning teams including 1st place, 2nd place, and People’s Choice.
For $12, the public can taste the results of the competition: 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm on Saturday, April 27.
Everyone knows warm weather, crawfish, live music and good beer are the perfect spring cocktail, so be sure to try some of Coastal Mississippi’s local brews at the Beer Garden.
Bring the entire family:
Adults and children alike are welcome at the Crawfish Music Festival! When the kids aren’t dancing to music or stuffing their faces with crawfish, they can choose from over 20 rides to enjoy. Wristbands are $25 for unlimited rides every day except Wednesday, which offers half off rides and free admission to the festival.
Tickets start at $10 and can be bought in advance, so reserve yours now! You can pay at the door, but prices increase by $2 per ticket.
Also, this festival is entirely outdoors, so remember to bring sunscreen, chairs, a rain jacket (just in case), etc. The festival continues rain or shine! Event parking is $5, so don’t forget to bring a little extra cash.
This award-winning event has been on the Mississippi Gulf Coast for more than two decades, and it is one that you don’t want to miss! If you have any additional questions that we didn’t cover, let us know in the comments.
