Are you planning a trip to the Mississippi Gulf Coast? You should know that you don’t have to leave your furry friend behind! There are many places that gladly welcome pets along the Coast, but here are just a few ideas you can add to your itinerary.
The Grind Coffee & Nosh is a great breakfast option for those traveling with an animal. The restaurant provides ample outdoor seating, with a small grass area for your dog to relax while you while you enjoy your breakfast.
Head to the beach.
The beaches in both Jackson and Hancock counties are pet-friendly. In both of these areas, the water is very shallow and the beaches are never overcrowded. These beaches are the perfect places to spend the day with your furry friend, as long as your animal is on a leash!
Explore Downtown Ocean Springs or Old Town Bay St. Louis.
You can’t go wrong exploring either city. Both are quaint, walkable, artistic communities with many shops, restaurants and bars that allow pets.
Spend the night.
Haven’t had enough? Stay the night! Harrah’s Gulf Coast, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino and La Quinta Inn and Suites are a few of the many pet-friendly places along the Mississippi Gulf Coast where you can rest your head. Each has unique additional features for your furry friends. For example, two pets of any size are welcome at La Quinta for no additional fee and Harrah’s Gulf Coast will provide dog treats, food and water dishes and more for your animals.
