I have been to Infinity Science Center multiple times, and every time I go I learn something new!
With educational displays, innovative exhibits and interactive events, Infinity is the ultimate indoor playground for the whole family.
I attended an event happening only in the month of March: March of the Birds. This event offers birding tours with a Master Naturalist down the Possum Walk Trail. Infinity provides binoculars and a bird “cheat sheet” and sends you on your way to explore. People of all ages joined us on the tour, and we saw multiple species on our hour long excursion.
A robotics competition was also being held at Infinity. We watched as children competed in teams with robots they built themselves. I really loved this aspect because it allows the children to not only experience all of the offerings of Infinity, but also showcase their addition to science and technology.
With admission to the science center, you are also granted a free bus tour of Stennis Space Center. Here you can see a behind-the-scenes look at America’s largest rocket engine test facility, which is one of the most unique scientific complexes on Earth!
Besides all of the many offerings Infinity currently has, the science center is working on some major expansions. Soon the center will be home to two trams to take visitors down the Possum Walk Trail, where you can see a variety of plants and animals native to the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Observation platforms and a board walk outside of the science center are also being built.
Ten new inside exhibits are also in the works, including subjects like deep sea ocean exploration, carnivorous plants and more. Infinity will also soon be the home to a new domed digital theater!
Stay tuned for an update highlighting the expansions of Infinity Science Center.
