It doesn’t matter if you’re a visitor on the Mississippi Gulf Coast for the weekend, or a long-time local, the Biloxi Shrimping Trip is well worth your time!

Whether you’ve lived here your whole life, or are just visiting the Coast for a few days, the Biloxi Shrimping Trip is a great way to have a fun experience and learn about where the majority of the world’s shrimp comes from. Departing from the Biloxi Small Craft Harbor, this “70-minute Living Marine Adventure Cruise” will take you and your party out into the Mississippi Sound to discover how shrimp are caught, with an entertaining and interactive demonstration of how the shrimping net is cast, and what fascinating sea creatures can be found in the Mississippi Sound.

Not only does this excursion welcome people from all walks of life, but it is also pet friendly! Be sure to say hello to T.J., the most adorable black lab/first mate, when he comes around to serve you cold beverages.

Throughout the trip, you will learn all about the shrimping industry, including how, where and when they are caught. For instance, did you know it is essentially impossible for humans to overfish for shrimp, and that worldwide, only four percent of all shrimp are caught by anglers? Pretty fascinating, huh? This excursion has been an attraction on the Mississippi Coast since 1954, so Captain Mike and Dave the Deckhand know what they’re talking about!

In addition to the shrimping trip, the Biloxi Cruise Company also offers fishing trips, sunset cruises, birthday parties and more! Their hours vary by season, but at just $16 per person ($11 for children ages 4-11), you’ll be thrilled that you chose to spend some time learning about the marine life on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Don’t forget to be on the lookout for dolphins and pelicans, because you’re sure to see plenty!
