Sometimes a Sunday Funday is the exactly what the doctor orders, and with all the different amenities on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, the possibilities are seemingly endless. Aside from going to the beach and having a relaxing day, there are so many fun places to check out the next time you're enjoying a nice, long weekend on the Coast!
Before starting your perfect Sunday, you first need to energize by hitting one of the great local coffee shops on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Whether it's Bankhouse Coffee in Bay St. Louis, Coast Roast in Gulfport or Tuxachanie Coffee Roasters in Ocean Springs, you really can't go wrong. Each of these shops go to great lengths to ensure you're getting the freshest coffee around.
Lunch on the Patio
Perhaps the best way to get a feel for the #MSCoastLife is by having a great lunch outdoors at one of the many great restaurants on the Coast. If you want a view of the Gulf of Mexico while you dine, we recommend The Reef, Shaggy's (Biloxi, Gulfport or Pass Christian) or Bacchus On The Beach (Biloxi and Pass Christian). If you're wanting a great craft beer to go with your grub, Long Beach Market & Deli has the largest selection of cold beer in the state, to go along with their exquisite and authentic Korean BBQ, and their patio area can sit groups of all sizes. We'd also be remiss if we didn't mention the Blind Tiger and it's two breathtaking beach locations.
Catching a Sunset
You haven't lived until you've seen a Mississippi Gulf Coast sunset, plain and simple. There are dozens of great places to see one on the Coast, but we think that a sunset goes just a little bit better when paired with an adult beverage. Eat Drink Love in Ocean Springs offers wonderful picnic packages that will allow you to chow down on some great charcuterie or sandwiches, all while you sip on champagne or wine and take in a sunset. If all you want to do is just walk down the beach, you're in luck, as we have miles and miles of white beach to explore.
Who cares what people say? Dessert is the most important meal of the day! Before you hit the sack, make sure you grab a popsicle from Pop Brothers (Bay St. Louis, Gulfport or Ocean Springs), because the Oreo Cheesecake pop is what dreams are made of!
After a fun-filled day like this, you'll probably be ready to call it a night, but make sure you make plans to come back and see us soon!
