BLOGGING COUPLE VISITS SOUTH MISSISSIPPI

By Kristen Durand

With over 70 countries and counting, Amber Hoffman travels the world seeking new adventures in food with her husband Eric Hoffman in tow.

Today, they arrived in South Mississippi with a goal of experiencing the heart and art of southern food and documenting it all on their blog.

Selected by Viator as a top travel blog, “With Husband in Tow” catalogues the couple’s adventures throughout the world.

Their stop here in South Mississippi is all part of their culinary road trip called the “U.S. Chow Down” in search of great local cuisine.

The couple has a lot on their plate over the next few days, including stops at The Shed, Lazy Magnolia Brewing Company, and a Shuckers game tomorrow night. “We’re excited about barbecue and biscuits and all sorts of southern home cooking,” said Amber. Eric said, “It’s our first time back in the U.S. in over two years. We’ve been living predominately in Bangkok, Thailand and for two Yankees who grew up in New Jersey, for us, southern cooking is American cooking. We’re coming back to eat as much as possible.”

The Hoffman’s are also welcoming suggestions from locals on where to eat. You can track the couple through their journey at withhusbandintow.com.
