Fishing Piers

The Mississippi Gulf Coast offers exceptional pier and wade fishing as well as deep-sea fishing!  Recreational fishing licenses are required and available at many locations along the Mississippi Gulf Coast such as Wal-Mart, Kmart, sporting goods stores, bait shops, and fishing camps.  A saltwater fishing license is required to fish south of Highway 90, above Highway 90 and below I-10 either a saltwater or freshwater license will suffice, and above I-10 only a freshwater license is required.  Persons under the age of 16 and over 65 are exempt.  For more information on permits for fishing, and other water type recreational activities, please contact the Department of Marine Resources, (228) 374-5000 or (800) 374-3449 or check their website, www.dmr.state.ms.us/DMR/faq-answers.htm.

Fishing piers & marinas are located in each city, most along Highway 90 (aka Beach Blvd).  All marinas offer boat launches for recreational boating.
