Fishing Piers

*Recreational saltwater fishinglicenses are required & are available at many locations along the Mississippi Gulf Coast - Wal-Mart, Kmart, sporting goods stores, bait shops, and fishing camps.  A saltwater fishing license is required to fish south of Highway 90.  Above Highway 90 and below I-10 either a saltwater or freshwater license will suffice, or above I-10, a freshwater license is required.  Persons under the age of 16 and over 65 are exempt.

Fishing piers are located in each of our cities, in marinas as well as along Highway 90 (Beach Blvd).  Following is a list of the piers in Gulfport available for fishing and recreation:

Fishing Piers:

  • Ken Combs Pier - Located at the foot of Courthouse Road & Highway 90
  • Moses Pier - Located adjacent to Gulfport Small Craft Harbor - Intersection Highway 90 & Highway 49
  • Urie Pier - Located adjacent to Gulfport Small Craft Harbor - Intersection Highway 90 & Highway 49
  • Westside Pier - Located on Highway 90 West of Island View Casino Resort - Gulfport
  • James Hill Park & Piers - Located near Handsboro Center on Switzer Road

 

All of our marinas offer boat launches for recreational boating.  Below are additional boat launches located in Gulfport:

  • Gulfport Lake Boat Launch - Located behind Bayou Vista Golf Course on Washington Avenue
  • Kremer Landing - Located next to Cowan-Lorraine Bridge
  • Ken Combs Pier - Courthouse Rd and Highway 90
