The mild climate of the Mississippi Gulf Coast has long attracted tourists also makes us a casual resort. The Mississippi Coast has a Humid Sub-Tropical Climate, highly influenced by the Gulf of Mexico. Winters are fairly short and mild with occasional cold snaps, but generally short in duration - usually lasting only a few days. Summers are long and hot with high humidity. January's average high & low temperatures are low 60s and low to mid 40s. July's average high & low temperatures are around 90 and mid 70s.The average yearly rainfall is 62 inches, ample rainfall for our vibrant azaleas and other garden flowers. Snowfall is extremely rare.
