Fall 2008

September 2008

Revised-Relax-Logo.gifFall is here and so are the cooler temperatures and lower humidity.  You can enjoy a relaxing day on the golf course or reeling in the big one aboard a charter fishing boat.  You can lie on the beach, take a shopping tour of an historic city, and walk through an art museum then create your own masterpiece.

While on the Mississippi Gulf Coast you will want to visit Beauvoir, The Jefferson Davis Home.  The home reopened for tours on June 3, 2008 with a 200th birthday celebration for Jefferson Davis and a Davis Family reunion.  During a $4 million restoration, the home and grounds were returned to the time when the Davis Family lived on the property.  For the next several months visitors can witness first hand the historic paint restoration inside the home.

Fall on the Mississippi Gulf Coast is full of outdoor festivals and events for the entire family.  Some of the events are highlighted in this newsletter but many more, such as the Ohr Fall Festival of Arts and Biloxi Cemetery Tour, can be found by checking our Calendar of Events tab at the top of the page.  All of this and more are awaiting your trip to the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
