Be Someone’s Hero! Join the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi (DFM) for Mississippi’s Walk For Diabetes-Gulf Coast! Help the DFM raise donations to care for Mississippi kids and adults with type 1 or type 2 diabetes. The Walk serves a dual purpose- to raise awareness of diabetes as well as celebrating and remembering our heroes in Mississippi who live with diabetes 24/7! Every dollar raised STAYS in Mississippi to support the programs and services of the Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi, including Camp Kandu, Mississippi's only camp for children with diabetes and their families, "Sweet Subject" school diabetes education, patient assistance for needy Mississippians and more!

Registration starts at 9am and the Walk begins at 10am. Participants can choose the one mile Family Fun walk or test their super powers on the 3.1/5K route! All participants are invited to join us at a free picnic lunch immediately following the event! Teams and individuals are welcome! $20 minimum suggested donation for each adult participant. Those raising $50 and above receive a Walk T-shirt featuring a “Banjo, Super Hero!” design by Marshall Ramsey!
