The festival incorporates vendors from the Ocean Springs Fresh Market and other local growers and producers of the Gulf Coast in an outdoor setting at the L&N Depot Plaza. The theme this year is “Let it Grow” with emphasis on the plants that feed us and the plants that beautify our world.

Mini workshops:
10:30 am - Karin Wilson of Jackson County Master Gardeners will be talking about Growing and Cooking with your own Vegetables
11:30 am - Dick Miller of Gautier Gold Honey will give a class on Beekeeping 101
12:30 pm - Tracy Galloway of Rockwood Creations will be teaching how to let your garden feed you in Edible Gardens.

The Ocean Springs Branch of the Jackson/George Regional Library system will have information on how to access wonderful recipes, gardening tips and much else through your local library. The Jackson County Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer all your gardening and growing questions.

At 2:30 pm there will be a ticketed Afternoon Tea and Jim DelPrince, Assistant Professor, Horticulture Specialist, MSU-Coastal Research and Extension Center will conduct a floral design demonstration using items gathered from the Fresh Market. Tickets are limited and are available at the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce at $10.00 per person.

Organized by Ocean Springs Fresh Market and Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce – Main Street – Tourism Bureau, the festival celebrates and promotes local and regional food, plant products from small producers in the area and local restaurants.
