‘Art Through the Lens’ is a photo-artistic exhibition by photographers/digital artists, Don and Sandra Schiffner. Realizing that we have many very good photographers here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, Don and Sandra wanted to offer something unique as artists. They created Our Tern Digital Art, LLC about 4 years ago. Their goal has been to offer a different approach to photography; and indeed their work has been described as refreshing, amazing and beautiful’.

Don started as a ‘by the book’ photographer and Sandra has been termed the ‘ethereal or playful’ one.  Each of them had decades of inspiration through the 35mm era and this has allowed them to easily embrace the digital age of photography.

With a love of capturing images of our physical world, they have enjoyed making their creations unique (playful or exaggerated) and less like what you might see in a documentary.

Don and Sandra are both retired, Don from supervising and installing large guns, missiles, and automated rapid fire guns; and Sandra as a School Psychometrist (testing children).

Don’t miss the opening reception on Friday October 7, 2016, from 5pm-8pm. There will be no admission charged, the Gallery will offer refreshments.
