    • The Mississippi Coast Bird Checklist currently includes 396 species
    • Unique species for the coast include Red-cockaded Woodpeckers (Bethel Bike Trail in Harrison County) and Mississippi Sandhill Cranes (Mississippi Sandhill Crane National Wildlife Refuge)
